| Notes about our limited edition
prints:
Giclée prints for the fine artist are created to exacting specifications. Our standard fine art papers are Somerset Velvet, a 100% cotton rag, acid free, 505 g/m2 weight, watercolor paper, and Crane Textured, also a 100% cotton rag, acid free, 425 g/m2, both designed specifically for Giclée printing. Each Giclée fine art reproduction print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity printed on parchment paper.
Giclée: It is the name used by the Art Community to identify
the highest quality digital fine art reproductions printed on fine art
paper or canvas using a pigment inkset by a very high-end inkjet printer.
The word Giclée is the feminine noun version of the French
verb gicler, which means "to spray" referring to the nozzles of the printer.
The term Giclée came into use in 1991 so that a distinction could
be made between the best digital prints available at that time,
Our exceptionally high quality Giclée reproductions are virtually indistinguishable from the original artwork. In many cases, our reproductions will have more fade resistance than the original art work. The result is the wide acceptance Giclée prints by private collectors, galleries, museums, and décor specialists.
